Minimap - Click to Download
Submitted by Whiz on 11.04.2007 (1542 Downloads)
This is loosely based on ZDMaster's "Players Map" mod.  This uses the userrow and controlrow["gamesize"] to move the postion of the background of the table.  The background image is images/map.gif.  No uploads are needed, and only a couple of small edits.  Uploading the map (taken from ZDMaster's mod) is optional, though it does help the user experience.

Have you installed any other mods?  Have you modified the code I provided in any way?

If you are able, would you please provide a link to a zipped file containing your lib.php and templates/left_nav.php ?

You have your lib.php edit in the wrong place.  Your lib.php has this:

       // Format various userrow stuffs...
       if ($userrow["latitude"] < 0) { $userrow["latitude"] = $userrow["latitude"] * -1 . "S"; } else { $userrow["latitude"] .= "N"; }
       if ($userrow["longitude"] < 0) { $userrow["longitude"] = $userrow["longitude"] * -1 . "W"; } else { $userrow["longitude"] .= "E"; }
       $userrow["experience"] = number_format($userrow["experience"]);
       $userrow["gold"] = number_format($userrow["gold"]);
       if ($userrow["authlevel"] == 1) { $userrow["adminlink"] = "<a href=\"admin.php\">Admin</a><br />"; } else { $userrow["adminlink"] = ""; }

       $userrow["brx"] = -($controlrow["gamesize"]) - $userrow["longitude"] + 50;
       $userrow["bry"] = -($controlrow["gamesize"]) + $userrow["latitude"] + 50;

it needs to look like this:

       // Format various userrow stuffs...
       $userrow["brx"] = -($controlrow["gamesize"]) - $userrow["longitude"] + 50;
       $userrow["bry"] = -($controlrow["gamesize"]) + $userrow["latitude"] + 50;
       if ($userrow["latitude"] < 0) { $userrow["latitude"] = $userrow["latitude"] * -1 . "S"; } else { $userrow["latitude"] .= "N"; }
       if ($userrow["longitude"] < 0) { $userrow["longitude"] = $userrow["longitude"] * -1 . "W"; } else { $userrow["longitude"] .= "E"; }
       $userrow["experience"] = number_format($userrow["experience"]);
       $userrow["gold"] = number_format($userrow["gold"]);
       if ($userrow["authlevel"] == 1) { $userrow["adminlink"] = "<a href=\"admin.php\">Admin</a><br />"; } else { $userrow["adminlink"] = ""; }

Sorry for being a newb. But I do not know how to upload the new map.gif.
Posted by Whiz on 01.15.2008
Styx, you have to FTP to your host (or sign on using whatever interface your host provides).  You then have to "upload", meaning to make a copy of, the map file in your images folder.

Thanks for helping. I'm still unreleased, wondering how. >_>
