I couldn't get the admin panel to look better unfortunately. what i didn't like was that i couldn't get it to say locked or stickied in the forum.
Posted by Fayt on 10.26.2008
I gave you a 4. I reviewed it and its pretty decent. Not much more you can add to a forum.

Awesome! I want to intergrate this into the posts:

<p><img src="{{avatarid}}" /><p>

can you help me?
Posted by EAL on 10.27.2008
I can most likely. I'll start doing it now.
Posted by EAL on 10.27.2008
I updated it so you can have avatars.
Posted by Styx on 10.28.2008
Great job sherlock. My forum.php is a blank page after I copied it.
Posted by Styx on 10.28.2008
Let me explain more, my avatar system works like this.

1. They put the URL
2. The URL gets saves as the URL, not as an image.
3. So you need to put the img codes yourself.
4. The images are not in images/avatars.
Posted by EAL on 10.28.2008
i'll see if i can fix it so it works.

Until then since you said it was a blank page i'm going put the original modded forum i had up.
Posted by Styx on 10.28.2008
Best if you just tell me what to change. Or at least tell people that if they want to use avatar's they need the Avatar mod somewhere in page 6,.
Posted by EAL on 10.28.2008
I never looked at any  avatar mod. that was just one way you could do it if you have your game set up so they can upload there own avatars, or use avatars from your own selection.

Styx, This is what you want.

DATABASE

Add a field called avatar make it TEXT

------------------------------------------

$page .= "<form action=\"index.php?do=changeavatar\" method=\"post\">\n";

$page .= '<p><b>Avatar Image Link:</b><br />';

$page .= '<input type="text" style="background-color:#CDBA96;" name="avatarlink" size="60" value="http://www" maxlength="120" /><br />';

$page .= '<input type="submit" name="submit" value="Upload" /> <input type="reset" name="reset" value="Clear" />';

$page .= '</form>';

$titi2 = $userrow["avatarlink"];

$page .= '<br><br><b>Current Avatar:</b><br><br>';

$page .= "<img src=\"$titi2\" width=\"80\" height=\"80\"><p>The default image link is: www.mygame.com/graphics/avatar.gif ";

--------------------------------------
Then you add this as a submit isset.
--------------------------------------

if (isset($_POST["submit"])) {

$avatarlink = $_POST["avatarlink"];

$title = "Change Avatar";

$query = doquery("UPDATE dkm_comments SET avatarlink='$avatarlink' WHERE id='".$userrow["id"]."' LIMIT 1","users");

$page = "<table width='100%'><tr><td class='title'>Change Avatar</td></tr></table><p>";

$page .= "Avatar changed successfully.<p>You may return to edit your avatar some <a href=\"index.php?do=changeavatar\">more</a>, return to <a href=\"index.php\">town</a><br />";

}

I know how you feel I tried to help him, and I got a insult, so I'm not going to change this mod anymore because its easy to load images from other sites, and if he wants it he can do it.
Posted by Fayt on 10.28.2008
Yeah he turned into an asshole. So I won't help him anymore. That's 3 on my shitlist.
Posted by EAL on 10.28.2008
I just cant believe that even though we tried to help he was a asshole to us.
Posted by Styx on 10.29.2008
I was?
Posted by Styx on 10.29.2008
I didn't mean to be an asshole. I just didn't read that Fayt tried to help. -.-''
Posted by Fayt on 10.29.2008
I help every person who is nice. Those who are smartasses, insulters, or just plain rude. Shall feel my wrath.
